6 lovely miles this fine morning. 45 degrees out & cloudy with nary a breeze.

Realize I just broke 1000 miles for the year. Wahoo! Now I've got plenty of time to go for more. Need some new shoes though - please send spare change my way.

Congrats on the 1000 miles for the year. You seem to have had some nice morning runs this week, hope they continue into next week. Well done again, on the thousand miles. Great stuff.

Nicely done, Russ. It looks like you could maybe milk another 200 miles out of your two listed pairs of shoes, then you could get some new ones for a Christmas present. Runnerswarehouse.com has pretty good pricing, free 2 day shipping, free returns and no sales tax. (this is NOT a paid announcement)

Thanks guys! Question for all of you - how do you personally know when your shoes are done? I've gone by mileage but have only worn out 2 pairs of shoes so far, and I likely could have kept going on them. My current 2 are nearing 500 miles, which is what I've always heard is their end life, but should I just keep wearing them until I know they're dead? And how do I know that?
