4 miles this morning. I had a bit of a layoff so expected my legs to be fresh but they were dead. I'm guessing it's a combination of a lot of walking at the conference, and at Universal Studios, plus surfing on Friday then a long flight back home, then cutting a load of wood and doing a little bit of deer hunting with the family on Saturday. And maybe a little sleep deprivation last week. Regardless, my legs were not fresh this morning. It was a chore to get 2 miles out, easier to get the 2 miles back. Will hit Boot Camp at Noon today.

AP: 8:40

Noon: Boot Camp. Lots of running, as we alternated 3 track laps (17 per mile) for each upper/lower body station. All in all, probably another mile of running but it was much faster than normal. Decent workout, but not great with all the cardio mixed in.

Boot Camp sounds like hard work. I remember years ago doing some sort of Cuban circuts, where you'd run 200m hard between exercise stations - it was a killer. I think 'White Lightning' did these sessions. Do you remember him?

Welcome back to the cold wilds of Montana. Give this child a home.

Bam, sorry, I don't remember White Lightning - should I? I'm feeling incomplete now. Do share.

And Kam, yes, it is a bit colder here (hyperbole defined). I need a treadmill at home - I'm having a hard time psyching myself up for cold runs, I don't have the $$ to buy good cold weather running gear, and I don't want to hit the Y. Hmph. I'll still get out and run but probably only a few days a week, and TM at the Y the other times. Yuck.

Too bad you can't just buy one on ksl.com. I'm sure there's an equivalent of online ads, maybe craigslist? There are definitely dozens of unused treadmills sitting in garages, barns and basements in your locale. Go on a search and acquire mission. Or give yourself a nice Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary present.

Great thought Kam! I checked Craigslist last night and someone wants to trade their treadmill for an elliptical. Peg gave us her old elliptical last year and I'm going tonight to see the treadmill and possibly trade. Thanks for the idea oh great one.
