I can't believe I once tried to run a marathon just over my 10K pace time. Silly boy. Today I ran an AP of 7:35 and it was really hard. Last year I tried to run a marathon in 7:15 pace. What the what?

Perfect weather this morning, 55-60, and flat roads. I ran in town while waiting for my 2nd oldest to get done with his seminary class. It was really nice running on no hills. It would be even nicer to run at sea level.

ha, it's funny how that works. i've run plenty of 5ks slower than what was at one time or another my marathon pace. :)

I'm with you on these questions. I thought it was just me getting old but you're young so now I don't feel so bad. :-)

Once Preston shares his secret of running faster but with less effort, we can all race faster.

Not only faster with less effort, but older, faster, and less effort. That is a magic combination. I'm still waiting for Preston to write the book.

It is amazing to me what motivation and delusions of grandeur will do to lower my training paces.
