5 miles this morning felt good, with no pain in my right foot until I was done and walking. Odd. Iced it for 10 minutes in a bucket. I felt it a bit on my way into work. When I stand tip-toe on my right foot I can feel something in that joint that I'm standing on. I don't know my foot anatomy so not sure what that is. Is there any relation from that joint to the achilles? I noticed this weekend that my achilles was kind of tight, and I've never noticed it tight before.

Will try and ice morning and night.

maybe it's your new shoes?

I wonder if it is the shoes, but I would think I would've noticed something before 82 miles. Saturday I was wearing my trail shoes, and they're basically the same as the shoes I normally wear. Also, my new shoes are the same shoe I've always worn but a new model for the year. They feel the same as the other ones though.

The most likely culprit was changing from 1/2 dirt & gravel/road to pretty much all road last week as I was running in town. Also maybe I stepped on a rock weirdly when on my gravel roads? It does feel like a bruise, but not a bad one. I think it's a tendon that's inflamed a bit. I'll try to deflame it. I know it's a word. Deflame, similar to deinflimate. Just call me Shakespeare.

Disinflame? Disinflimationilizationize? Same shoe but new model can be a bugger. When I moved from Omni 6 to Omni 7 I ended up with a quarter sized blister on my instep. After that, the 7's never bothered me again. Ice is a good idea.
