Again, too tired to wake up early. Looking forward to school starting so we'll all be on normal schedules. A cold front came in last night so we actually had rain today, amazing, and it was mid 50s for my run at 12:15 pm. Awesome. Half way through I ran shirtless as I was still too warm, owing to the 84% humidity, and that I didn't have a head band with me. I hate the feeling of sweat on my brow, so I needed my shirt to wipe my sweat. I ran faster again than planned, so it's time to start running on my roads at home once again as it's hard to go fast up hill. This morning my right exterior shin was sore, so shin splints, and my right foot underneath my toes was sore. I think they're related as I have a bad natural gait on my right foot due to spraining my ankle as a teenager and when I run faster I forget to straighten my foot when I strike. It wasn't bad but I'm looking forward to a day off. My AP is slower than reality as my GPS hadn't come on line yet when I started running, but my patience was low.

nice running, russ. mid 50's sounds wonderful.

allie took my thought. Mid 50's at noon? You live in a blessed land. Heck, even a cold front would be heavenly. Be smart about your speedy running. You are in the best shape of your life now, which feels pretty amazing, but don't start making withdrawls.

We've been in the 90s every day for days on end, including 97 yesterday. Living so close to Canada does have it's benefits. We hit 61 for a high today. By Sunday we're back in the 90s, but today was a blessed one. Feels great.

I think I'm addicted to my GPS. Is there a withdrawal patch for that?

Sticker shock. When your gps dies and you have to come up with 300 clams to replace it, you might decide on a $40 timex instead. By the time garmin quits, you'll know all your route distances by heart anyway. Absent that, mapmyrun.com is helpful.

Yowzers! That's a good remedy. I got my 305 with HR monitor for $130 on Amazon last year, and it's now $285 for the same old model. I agree - no need once you've run the same routes for miles & miles. Or just carry your big old hiking GPS around your neck, ala Flavor Flav. It'd be a good look for you.
