Warm night & morning - thank goodness for A/C. It showed 77 degrees at 5:45 am so I ran shirtless today. I normally hate doing that as I normally think shirtless runners are dorks but with it being so hot and so early I didn't feel too bad, especially as I was doing 7 miles. Took a water bottle with Gatorade and glad I did. Mouth got very dry with the heat. Kept my pace today steady as she goes as yesterday I felt pretty tired, so wasn't quite recovered from the 1/2 marathon. I feel good today. I went out and back and the out part is all uphill so I was around a 9:30-10:00 pace there. On the way back I tried to keep it at 9:00 or under and even hit a little under 8:00 at some stretches. Legs feel good. A bit sore, but I like that feeling - just enough to remind me I'm alive. The run took just over 1:03 so not sure what my pace was - watch is at home.

Shirtless dork. Haha. Yesterday I was running like a shirtless dork, so of course I passed the bishop's wife on the sidewalk. Keeping cool takes priority over wearing a shirt.

Hahaha! That's great. Where I live I never pass anyone I know - I run on rural roads. But this morning, I passed the 1st Counselor in the YM, and I'm 2nd Counselor. He doesn't care, but still. It only happens when I run like a shirtless dork.

How inappropriate of you. Just kidding!

I do it all the time, running with a sweat-drenched shirt is no good.

Love the commentary! It's not that I think there's anything wrong with going shirtless, it's always just seemed so unneccessary and preening when I see shirtless dudes. And for some, that's true. For me, I now know that when it's hot - lose the shirt. It did feel pretty darn good this morning. I also went sans HR monitor today - that looks like a bra strap gone wrong when not covered by a shirt.

Wouldn't it be nice if over 75 degrees was mandatory shirtless?
