4 days after the race the quads are feeling better. I could walk down the stairs this morning without wincing. I can still feel the quads with every step I take but I look pretty normal now. How much time off before I run again? Not sure - at least a week, then I'll see. I thought SGM was bad for being a quad buster, but this took the cake by a mile. Or six.

Just read your race report - it takes all sorts to keep this little ball spinning. The report was excellent: I got a feel for the race and felt your pain, in fact my quads are killing me reading about yours. Well done, you dug deep to get through that race. Next time you're struggling on a run you'll draw strength from Bighorn.

Russ, I'm glad to hear the recovery is coming along. Try getting in the pool and doing some laps.

Bam - thanks! I think you're right about drawing strength from that run. It was a bit of a buggar.

Kam - Pool? Laps? I thought pools were for leisurely swimming... The kids will like this approach, maybe we'll hit the Y tonight.

Definitely do them leisurely, and not too many. Your legs will thank you as they float along.
