Nice run today, perfect temps (38 to 44). Ran from home to the Y then did a 7 mile loop. Felt pretty good. Tried gummy bears for my nutrition and worked OK. Stomach a teeny bit upset, more than gels and jelly beans but our Wal-Mart no longer sells gels or jelly beans and I don't want to spend a bunch on them. Will have to find them online.

Russ, try some starburst jelly beans while they are still in stores before easter. They are great on runs. Also sour patch kid watermelons. Or peanut m&ms or snickers. Anything works, esp when it is cold outside. Once it warms up, the chocolate will start to melt. For sure don't spend $2 for tiny bags of special jelly beans.

Thanks Kam - great tips. Wal-Mart had gu and beans for $1.00 each which wasn't horrible, but $1.00 for an entire bag of gummi bears was much better. I'll try the starburst beans and sour patch kids - might need some just to snack on today. Yum.
