My wife headed out today on a girl's weekend to the mountains so I stayed home from my run and helped her get ready. THAT is true love.

At lunch I went to Boot Camp. Pretty good session, kicked my butt. I haven't done a Friday Boot Camp for a long time as the last time I did Friday my Saturday long run really suffered. Seeing if my fitness has improved enough where I can handle a hard workout then run long. I'm shooting for 15 miles tomorrow. Anyone want to join me? 6 AM at my house. Dirt roads most of the way! Gorgeous views.

I wish I was up your way, Russ. I like the dirt roads. As far as marathon prep goes, I'm feeling really good. I'm still debating about getting a "plan", but not totally convinced. I've been preparing instinctively, and not slavishly following a spreadsheet. As JakeK's blog title says, "the secret is, there is no secret." I feel like the extra mileage is really making a difference. My long runs are long, but they feel better; both during and after. I'm not as wiped out, probably since they are a smaller percentage of my weekly mileage. I think I'm 100% certain of a pr at Boston. Sub-3 not so much, but I've got 10 more weeks to get there and give it a real shot.

I'm not one to talk, but I'd say not to do a plan at this point. It seems like you've been doing this long enough, with enough positive role models & coaching via the FRB that you know what your body needs. I think you're going to have a blast at Boston and kick some tail.
