| | Not much time this morning to run after I got the oldest boys breakfast, so I did a few on the home TM. I'm not much of a TM runner or an experimental runner - I normally just run (which explains why I haven't BQd). I've been experimenting on the TM, but by default not by experimental design. I've been upping my speeds, can't handle them, so slow down, then when I go back to the fast speed I can handle it the 2nd time. You well-coached or smart runners already know this. Not me. I started at 6 for a while, then bumped to 7 for a mile or more, then up to 8 but that was a struggle so I struggled for a while then dropped down to 7 for a while, then time was running out so up to 8 and it was much easier, and I finished at 9.0 for 1/2 mile or so and it wasn't horrible. Funny thing about warming up that you all figured out long ago. I'm only just seeing this.

| | Big snowstorm yesterday cancelled school for the kids and my wife, first time in 25 years in Billings. Wasn't so much the snow amount (8-10") but the icy roads last night and this morning. The crews took good care of us during the night and the snow stopped so decent driving conditions this morning for me.
Hit the Y at lunch and ran on the TM and my legs are making a comeback. Warmed up at 6.0, then 1 1/2 miles at 7.0, 1 mile at 8.0, last mile at 9.0 then a cooldown. I'm on 0% incline so I'm not all that, but a few weeks ago I couldn't do this so it makes me happy to see some progress, however slight. I need to up my mileage though.
