I'm streaking! Look out boys & girls, cover your eyes! I ran 4 TM miles this morning. Ooh la la. 2% incline, progressive run up to a 7:47 mile. Legs pretty tired still from Friday's Boot Camp and from running the last few days. Saturday evening my left calf was uber sore, like my right calf normally gets from a shin-splint type thing. It was a deep muscle ache. Love that feeling (not). Nothing that 5 vitamin I tablets didn't take care of.

Noon: Boot Camp. I wasn't going to do it, but I just couldn't resist. Pretty good session. Lots of running.

I was tired yesterday after my double workouts on Monday so took a break Tuesday. This morning I intended to run 4 miles at the Y but my son reminded me that I needed to wait for him and take him to school, which meant I couldn't run in town. I quickly changed plans and ran while I waited. It meant less time, but I wanted the same distance, so I increased speed. That was fun. No watch or headphones, i just ran. No idea of time but I would guess that it was in the 10K-1/2 pace. I've lost a lot of fitness in my legs but thankfully it's not all gone. Time to bring some of it back.

It was a little chilly this morning. 39F with no breeze. Long sleeve tech shirt with cotton gloves and a thin hat, shorts, and calf compression sleeves. Felt a little chilly at the beginning, but great at the end. Hands were cold but I didn't know it until I took my gloves off. Love this weather.

I think I'm back to the running gig. My desire this week is to run. It hasn't been for a while, but now it's mainly on running. That's a good thing. I knew my mojo would return.

Chilly, 38F with a mild wind. Wore same thing as yesterday, long sleeve tech shirt, shorts, thin hat, and thin cotton gloves. Definitely could've used some thicker gloves this morning. I ran from the Y, and when I got back and hit the hot shower the backs of my hands were tingly. Not horribly cold, but not comfortable. A long run would've meant no retying the shoelaces if they came untied. Thankfully that never happens.

A good run. I started out at a 9 mm pace, and kept that going uphill. Once I hit the flats my pace dropped naturally to a 7:28 pace and I held that off and on. I wanted to be higher than that, but was interested to see what felt comfortable. On the way back I kept it between 7:30-7:40 or so, but I wasn't intending this to be a tempo run so I just ran. It felt really good.

I'm still a runner! I was having some serious doubts. I didn't think I'd get in a run today, but fortune smiled on me and I took it. I left at 7:15 pm, in the dark, decked out with my reflective gear and lights, and gloves and a hat. Started with the intent to do 6 and I wasn't feeling great but decided in the first mile to do 8. It's been a while. Nothing special about tonight's run, but I completed it and a couple hours later I still feel good. My stomach was full from a massive lunch, and I'm glad I made it home before I needed to use the toilet. It was a close call! TMI, I know, but my stomach affected my last miles.
