| | Started off doing a nice slow recovery run for the first couple miles then felt like running a bit faster and as I was cooling down I passed the local track on my way back to the Y. I was warmed up so figured I'd see how fast I could run a track mile. Splits were 1:43, 1:42, 1:42, and 1:35 for a 6:42 mile. HR was 165, 174, 178, and 180. Felt good. I need to do some track work although it's not built into my Hal plan. It sure felt good gliding along as I sprinted the last 50 yards to the finish. Wish I could run like that always. Those lucky people who can run 5:00 miles regularly are pretty darn amazing. |

| | Easy 3 miles. AP 9:04. Beautiful day! Did 3 sets of squats, shoulders, and curls. Joined boot camp for abs, did planks then sliding planks and sideways sliding planks. Need more core workouts. |

| | At the Montana 2011 Camporee, did the 1 mile fun run in 6:51 then did 4.5 miles along the highway and back to camp for breakfast. It was a marathon pace run so I tried to keep it at 8:15. Slowed to 8:40 going up hill but sped up downhill and combined with the fast first mile, my AP was 7:51. Splits 6:51, 8:25, 7:39, 7:58, 8:12, and 8:10 pace for the last .5. |

After getting home from the Camporee Kaylene and the kids went to our friends house and I ran from our house to theirs. Nice run. Yesterday I must've left the GPS watch on because it died on me after 1 mile. I finished in approximately 50 minutes. Run felt good, although I had a couple nice sideaches as I did this run starting at 8:15 PM, the latest I've ever run. It was only a couple hours after a church Father's Day picnic so the hamburger, salads, and lemonade didn't sit too well. They went away after a bit. |
