Thankfully my ankle felt much better when I woke up today (thank goodness I brought my iPod to the Webelos Campout as I relied on it at 2:30 am to drown out the snoring of the guy in the tent 3 feet behind my head). Attended Day Camp all day today with Connor and got home about 4 pm. Had a killer thunderstorm roll through the area. It was awesome. Went running with Dylan and Kaylene as he wanted to do 2 miles today. I ran 2 miles with them very slowly (AP 12:22) then headed back out for my long run. Was inspired by Kam always running up that 2000 foot hill so I ran down the main road so that I could run back up it. 7.54 miles total, AP 9:05. Splits 9:20, 8:49, 8:36, 8:39, 9:37, 9:23, 9:26, 8:39. It was fairly warm out at 68 and very humid but felt good. Overall a great day. Glad my ankle was just a bit of a tweak.

Go Russ go! I'm glad your ankle felt better for you to run. Is Kaylene getting the running bug from you too?

Thanks Piggie! Kaylene's always had the jogging bug but her hip has hurt too bad to run the past few years. She's been doing some stretching and other exercises that seem to really be helping. We don't think she'll ever get past 3 miles but who knows?

Awesome! who needs to go more than 3 miles anyway?
