Personal:

Started running seriously in March 2010. Married 22 years to a hot momma and we have 3 boys, 1 sweet girl, 2 dogs, 3 2 0 1 cat, and 6     4 5 6 3 5 3 1 2 0 chickens (until Spring 2019 when we'll start over). As of September 2018 I'm looking for work... yay. I'm on the local School Board.

More heat training at lunchtime, 79-83F but thankfully a decent breeze. Watch went freaky again, so stopped at .18 miles and reset the watch (I was not running a 7:01 pace). Ran up to the rims and back, solid effort. Legs felt quite rested, but for a good SGM I need to really up the mileage over the summer so a 16 mile run doesn't destroy me for days.

Good idea on the heat training...I tend to avoid it when possible but always regret doing so.

Congrats on getting in to St George - there's your carrot on a stick! Pacing at Bighorn sounds like a blast as well.

Thanks Joe. The heat training is more because I'm lazy and can't wake up in the morning. But I'm making lemonade from my morning inability.

I'm stoked about training for St George, just hope the summer allows me to really train as most weekends are full with other things. Whatever happens, I'm happy to have a carrot to pull me along.
