Hmph. Been babying my left arch but at 1 mile I felt something weird I haven't felt before. Feels like I pulled something in my foot. Stopped running and walked home. Iced it just now in an ice bucket. That's cooold. Anyone have suggestions on how I should tape my foot for next week's pacing run?

Where/what hurts? Dang foot!

No idea of what muscles/tendons are in the foot, but it's on the inside of my left foot right in the middle. I feel it when I push off. It's been a mild pulling feeling all week but today it was more pronounced. Felt like muscles or tendons were pulling when I pushed off. Hoping it's not something that gets worse the longer I run next week. Hope it's a pain I can deal with.

Shoot, Russ. That's a bummer.

I'm hopeful that I'm just overreacting because of the nearness of the race. No pain in the foot since Saturday. I'll keep icing and doing some foot exercises and should be good to go.

I hope the lack of posts doesn't mean there is still pain... with my foot at the first of the year, keeping it compressed, iced, and off of it as much as possible really seemed to help. Positive vibes your way.

Christie, thanks for the concern. Much appreciated. No more foot pain, but I don't really know as I decided to not run this week until I'm on the trail Friday night with my runner. I think it's Plantar Fasciitis and if so I can run through that. If not I'll run through it anyway. I hope my cautiousness pays off. :)

Have fun tomorrow! Don't trip in the dark:)

Thanks Christie! I'm wearing gloves and knee pads as I'm pretty sure I'll be tripping... :)
