5 miles this warm morning. Just after turning onto the main (paved) road I got the crap scared out of me by 2 little fawn who were hiding 3 feet off the road in the tall grass, and when I ran by they sprang up and scrambled out of there. I didn't even scream, which makes me proud. They're about the size of a 4 month old yellow lab so they're decent sized. I couldn't figure out what the figures were in my peripheral vision then quickly turned to look and saw it was two cute spotted baby deer. Fun stuff. Nothing else eventful in my run.

AP: 9:15 (neighbor stopped to talk to me on my last mile and I forgot to stop the clock)

Bam, I did jump about 6 feet in the air but no screaming. I was actually a bit surprised that nothing emanated from my very loud mouth.
