4 TM miles at they Y this morning. Broken record. Watched a cool show on Modern Marvels about new types of aircraft. The US Military uses remote control toy planes to check on our enemies. These planes have foldable wings to fit into a regular backpack, and their cameras are HD with thermal imaging. Very cool. I want one for elk hunting.

Started at 5.0, then 6.0, 6.5, and 1 mile at 7.0. Achilles feels good.

A couple of friends just decided to do the Bighorn 50K so I'm going to join them. The training last year really gave me a good base for a fall marathon so I'm looking forward to it. Plus, after reading Crockett's blog it sounds like if you don't say "I'll never do this again" after an ultra you probably didn't push yourself enough. :)

Good stuff, Russ. I thought you might be nuts enough to do it again. You better get training - can't wait for the race report:)

Thanks Bam. I figured I would never do this again, but when a friend mentioned it a few months ago the images of gorgeous mountains came into my head and the desire to conquer the beast again hit hard. My training plan starts in March and this time I've got friends to train with, so looking to do even better this time. Downhill training will be a big part of it as I didn't focus on it last year and the downhill is a killer.

Ummmm you are awesome, I knew you would do it again!
