10-15 degrees warmer today than normal, and with my black singlet at lunchtime I figured hey, why not run on the Rims where there's no shade? It was very warm out, 81F with not much breeze, but there won't be much more of this until next year so I soaked it up. Getting to the Rims is a nice 600 elevation gain so not a quick run, but some nice ups. On the way back I ran through a park with rain birds spraying and doused my back really well. That helped the last mile to the Y.

I'm so confused about the rain birds spraying.

I just meant the sprinklers were on, but not the spray in all directions kind, the one that goes in a circle and makes the noise as it circles then rapid fires on the return? I think we called them by the name brand as kids, rainbird, and figured it was universal. Or maybe Southerners are just slow? :)

I don't know, I'll get back to you after I process all of that.

allie, you nailed the sound! That's it. There were 30 of those at the same time and it felt heavenly.
