Spin class today. The normal guy had the day off and the replacement isn't near as good so it wasn't as fun, but I still got a good workout in. About 15 minutes in I had to swap bikes as mine was squeaking with every turn.

This not running thing stinks! I'm not nearly as motivated to workout, and after reading Camille Heron's bit about SFs maybe doing all my cardio isn't that important, although I don't want to lose what I've gained. Hopefully I can get this fixed and keep on running this year.

3X10 curls, tricep dips. 1X60 plank, 10 pullups.

you will keep running this year, just think positive, and it's better to feel no pain and run, then run with pain...don't give up yet, you know you are my inspiration!

Thanks Peg. I guess I fell into the too much too soon trap that I've heard so much about but hadn't experienced. My foot's feeling better so I'll start running again this week to test it out (Wednesday or so) but my groin hasn't healed. I tried racing Peyton yesterday on a walk and pulled up lame after a few feet. Argh. Guess I need an MRI or something to figure that one out - XRays were negative a while ago. I'll get back out there!

Russ, even if you pulled the plug for a month, you could regain your fitness. Keep getting yourself right. Do you have access to a pool? When I had some injury trouble as I was starting out, 2-3 months of swimming really built up stabilizers in my core and groin, and I haven't had any trouble since then.

Kam, thanks for the swimming thought. I've always resisted thinking about swimming for anything besides recreation as it's just not fun for me, but it's probably time that I tried it and also learned how to swim laps. Hmm...the wheels are turning. The Y (with pool) is 1 block from work.
