Alarm woke me at 5:30 am. I'd heard the wind howling in the night so hopped on the local hourly weather web page, and wind gusts of 47 mph. No thanks. Kids sleeping downstairs near the treadmill as they have a scheduled day off school today, so no morning indoor run. Enjoyed another 1.5 hrs of sleep. Will run at lunch time indoors at the Y. Yesterday we had a crazy little storm blow in. At 1:53 pm it was 54 F, 9 mph wind. By 2:40 pm it was 36 F, 59 mph gusts, wind chill 22 F, snowing and lightning, then dropped below freezing by 3:17 pm. Very cool storm. All the cars and buildings in town have frozen snow on one side from the sideways snow.

Noon: went to the Y, planning on doing 5 miles, but at the last minute I decided to do Boot Camp instead. It was pretty fun and it'll be nice to be super sore in a couple days. Nothing beats not being able to walk.

I love weather like that when I don't have to go outside. You shoulda woke the kids up banging on the TM. Just because they get a day off, is that any reason to let them sleep in?

Great point Kam. Next time I'll call you at 5:30 am when I'm not sure what to do. Thanks!

"It's windy outside."

Russ gets up.

"It's cold outside."

Russ has a scratch.

"The kids are sleeping near the wussmill."

Russ stretches and yawns.

The sound of a running tap.

"What are you doing Russ?" Russ' wife asks.

"Nothing."

Russ' wife gets up and walks into the bathroom. She screams. Instead of running, Russ is shaving his legs:)

Bam, that's amazing how prescient you are. First allie's marathon time down to 2 seconds, now you've correctly sussed my leg shaving scheme. And here I thought I was so clever. Back to the drawing board.

Sweet. Russ just busted out "prescient", just a day after I heard "ameliorate" in Sunday school. Keep 'em coming, you leg shaving hunter!

You know, it's okay if you just use the hair clippers to knock it down to a manageable length and skip the shaving step. You remove 90% of the hair, but don't look all the way groomed.

And feel free to call me anytime, day or night.
