6 TM miles plus a cool down at lunch time. Bought new a new singlet at Target, and found out about mile 5.75 that the seams in the armpit are a bad idea. Good to know before I take it out on a long run once it gets warmer. The run felt pretty good. No direct fan, but at least the Y turned up the volume on the FM transmitter on the History channel. Interesting show about the people who work at the White House. Currently there are 420 staffers with an annual budget of $60 million. Seriously? I think the Pres can handle a wee bit less than that.

AP: 8:11

1X60 plank, bicycles, toe touches. 25 pushups. Lost a few pounds sweating today.

oh don't even get me started on the dumb white house staff. I swear if you live in DC every other person works for the white house. My BIL worked as White House Communications for 4-5 years and he went ahead of the entourage to all speaking engagements to set up the A/V stuff. I don't know if they count those guys in that total or not, but there are SO many people that work for/in the white house it is ridiculous. In my opinion, it is not the governement programs that eat up all the funding it is the government buraucracy. Seriously, if you've ever had to deal with an agency of the government you would understand how slow and inept they are. Those workers would be fired for the amount of mistakes they make that cost THOUSANDS of dollars in the private sector, but they keep working. Uggghhh, trust me...it isn't good. I'll get off my soap box now.

Excellent TM run, especially in a hot sweat box. I love when I lose poundage from sweat - makes it all seem worth it :)

I love the rant! Yeah, the waste in the govt is just ridiculously insane. Run it like a business with accountability for the way employees treat customers, etc., and who knows what could come of it? We'll probably never know....
