4 chilly miles. Cold temps after a brief snowstorm yesterday evening left ice on houses, roofs, cars, and the road depressions. Road itself didn't seem icy, just the spots that saved the snow which melted to water. Unseasonably early, and supposed to return to normal next week. Legs felt pretty tired from more "hunting" yesterday, but if you don't see any birds and take no shots, it's only hiking with a gun.

It's just odd to see you write about snow and ice when it's still so hot down here! :-)

I’m not a fan of early cold and snow, but it’s easy to wear warm clothes and keep on, but tough to run in heat. I think I’ll take the cold, even though I’m tired of the cold.
