| | 3 miles at the Y after dropping my kid off at early morning cross country practice. Proud. This is the same kid who took 3rd in his age group at Bighorn 18 miler this year without every running further than a 5K. Proud.

| | Double digits for the first time in a long while. I need to knock off the layoff and get back to normal 10+ runs on Saturdays. This was a slow one and I walked a lot up my Veyo hill, but I did it, and I'm proud of it, and I hope to be back. I need a race........

| | Cold hands this morning! So cold that at mile 1.5 I put my arms and hands inside my t-shirt to keep them cold, then realized it was tough to run without arms, so I ran with cold hands the rest of the way. The smoke finally cleared out of Billings this weekend, but today I had a hard time feeling like I had enough air. I'm just not in the shape I used to be and I'd like to get back to it. I'll do my best. AP: 8:31 |

| | Gloves this morning! 49F or so, and the thin white cotton gloves did the trick. Kept a solid pace, then on the last mile a 20 something woman was running ahead of me and it was certainly motivating to catch up to her and pass her, even though it may have meant running a lot faster pace than I was planning on running.... LOL. It was fun to chase and pull ahead. And she was not scary to look at, either.

| | 3 miles on the TM at Noon. I ran faster than normal, felt good not to be plodding along. I had a fan blowing on my head, that helped.

| | 10 misty miles on my favorite gravel road in 40 degree temps with a slight North breeze. Ran all the way up my Veyo hill without stopping until the top, and on the way back didn't stop until the mailboxes at the top of the hill.

| | 4 lunchtime miles from the Y. Ran my normal 4 mile route, but in an attempt to cool down better, I cold-stopped at 4 miles, then walked back 1/2 mile to the Y. Normally I go another 1/4 mile then walk 1/4 mile. It helped a bit, I wasn’t super sweaty after showering... but the cold shower did seem to help. |

| | Ran this morning at the Y, did 1/2 mile at warmup 10 minute pace (6.0), then bumped it up to 8.0 (7:30 pace) and maintained it the rest of the time, which I didn’t think I could do. I had 0% incline on the TM, so that helps, but still, it was a good morning. Last 1/2 mile I bumped it up to 8.3, and last 1/4 was 8.6 (6:57 pace). Good morning. |

| | 3 at the Y this am. Slow for 1/2 mike, then 7.8 mph the rest of the way. 0% incline is nice on the brain, makes me think I’m faster than I am.
