4 miles at lunch time from the Y. It was a cooler day so only 71F. Too bad I didn't wait until the thunderstorm blew through town as the temps dipped to 54F at 4:30 pm! Craziness. Sometimes I like the Canadian weather influence, and today was one of those days.

5 weeks after my 52 miler and I still haven't logged 52 miles since then. Not sure I'll make it to the 50 mile mark this month but I'll try. I'm lacking motivation and fresh legs. Need a race in my future.

Yeah Canada, woooooo!!

Crazy about the miles - 52 miles took half a day, next 52 miles takes 35+ days. Not looking forward to getting my legs wrecked for a month...although they feel wrecked all the time now anyway, so what's the difference...

I agree, maybe plop down some $$ for a race and some motivation!

I don't think the 50M will impact you near as much as it has me. Your mileage far exceeds mine, and has done for a long time. I've noticed when Jake was in prime shape he would run a 2:2x:xx marathon then be back to running a few days later because 26 was just a blip. It will be interesting to see how the 50 affects you.

I might not match the mileage of my last race for the rest of the year...

Jon, that would be impressive! Congrats on a solid Western States, BTW, and on your Michael Jordanesque "retirement" from running. I don't buy it. If he were still with us Matt Foley would on your tail. But for now, enjoy the slower rec running. It's a pretty good gig.
