Personal:

Started running seriously in March 2010. Married 21 years to a hot momma and we have 3 boys, 1 sweet girl, 2 dogs, 3 2 0 1 cat, and 6     4 5 6 3 5 chickens (animals have a short life expectency in the country). I currently lead our church congregation and I feel blessed for the opportunity. My day job is Leadership Development for a regional bank in MT, WY, and SD (soon expanding to OR, ID, WA).

Race: Bighorn Trail Run 18 Miles (18 Miles) 05:48:11
Total Distance
18.00

Got a couple or few hours of sleep, and we headed to the Dry Fork aid station to start the 18 mile run. This was the first trail run and longest distance ever for my wife Kaylene and our 13 year old Dylan. He took 3rd in the 11-19 age group (stud). Our oldest boy Peyton drove us there and picked us up at the end.

The race was fine, we ran a bit and walked a lot. I've walked a lot the past few days. I wasn't very sore after this race as apparently walking is easier on the body than running. New concept.

This discovery is blowing me out of the water, too. Way to get it done. It would take me three times out the door, minimum, to run 18 miles. In fact, it would likely take more.
