6 miles this morning in a steady brisk wind. 24 F temps, 17 mph wind, 11 degree wind chill. My hands got cold but the rest of me was okay. I need some new gloves with wind shields on the top and breathable on bottom. I just don't want to spend $30-40 on a pair, so I make do with a pair of cotton running gloves I got at SGM 2011 combined with a pair of thicker cotton gloves I bought at Harbor Freight. They work well on nearly every day.

Didn't feel completely fresh today, but not too tired either. Tomorrow's a busy day with the first kid bball game at 8 am so I'm not sure when I'll get my run in, but I'll do it. Might be a treadmill run in the morning. Happy to have hit the 20 mile mark on Friday. I think it's been a while.

You are not running on a tm at 24 degrees and wind? Stud! How's your winter so far?

I did a bunch of TM running earlier this winter, but realized I need the hill work so I've upped my game lately and I'm running outside most of the time now. And with layers, anything is possible. That's a Bible quote, right?

Our winter's been pretty good. We've had regular snow, but not much of it, and our temps have been decent. We've only been below zero a few times, but no double digits below. I call that a success. What about Ammon/I.F.?

We had the coldest January I'm 40 years ..just nasty cold. Temps in the -15 to -20 cold. Looking forward to spring for sure. Just looked at your times the past few years...steady gains! That's awesome!

I've learned all about tm running this winter. It has helped my fitness level during the winter for sure.

Yikes. Coldest in 40 years? I'd be inside too.
