Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep running. Get a BQ in 2018, as I'll be 45 and the time requirement drops to 3:25, so a 3:23:xx "should" get me in (just checked and I'm way off - in 2017 I would have needed a 3:21:37 - d'oh!). I hope I can find the time to train properly, and train without injury. And if I don't get a BQ, it's all good. I've done a 50 miler, and nobody can take that away from me.

Started running seriously in March 2010. Married 21 years to a hot momma and we have 3 boys, 1 sweet girl, 2 dogs, 3 2 0 1 cat, and 6     4 5 6 3 5 3 chickens (animals have a short life expectency in the country). I currently lead our church congregation and I feel blessed for the opportunity, and in May 2017 I joined our local School Board as a Trustee for a 3 year term. My day job is Learning Architect for a regional bank in MT, WY, SD, OR, ID, and WA.

Yassooooooo!!!!! I ran on the TM at the Y so I couldn't yell that out loud this morning. Did 6 X 800s this morning in a Yasso-prescribed pace of 6:30, but actually 6:27 on the TM at 9.3 mph. They were much easier than the last ones I did, the first half of which were uphill. Not sure how well TM Yassos prepare one for a road race, but it will have to do. Warmed up 1 mile, then started the 800s, .25 cool down in between (walked for .10, then jogged at 10:00 pace for .15). Cooled down with 3/4 of a mile.
