Not get super fat, and qualify for Boston before I'm 50 (April 2023).


Started running seriously in March 2010. Married 22 years to a hot momma and we have 3 boys, 1 sweet girl, 2 dogs, 3 2 0 1 cat, and 6     4 5 6 3 5 3 1 2 0 chickens (until Spring 2019 when we'll start over). As of September 2018 I'm looking for work... yay. I'm on the local School Board.

6 miles at 23 degrees, but I thought it would be colder so I was overdressed. Stopped at 2 miles and took off jacket and extra gloves. Tough to get started, wanted to quit 1/4 mile in, wasn't feeling it, but I carried on and it got better. Legs must be a bit tired from TM running.

Really hard run. Waited until 11 as it was too cold. Wore my North Face thin hoodie over my gray winter shirt and it was too warm at 2.5 miles so I stopped and took it off plus my mittens. Put the mittens back on at mile 9 as I was into the wind and the hands were cold. I haven't run this far for ages - not sure the last time I went 13. It was too far for my fitness. I'm training for the Bighorn 50K, and my Hal Higdon app has an insane training plan for the race. I'll soon revise the plan downward.

Day off for me but not the family, so went to Red Lodge and cross country skiied up West Fork, then ran up it. Legs were dragging after Saturday, but I persevered.
