Boot Camp today. A great cardio workout plus hit lots of muscle groups - squats, shoulders, bench press, triceps.

Still trying to figure out why my inner soleus muscles on both legs are so sore. It's only been happening for the past few weeks and I don't know what would be causing it. It started with old shoes but is still going on with new shoes. My right calf muscle is sore also after long runs. It's not debilitating but is concerning. Hoping it will go away, but might need to hit a PT shop.

Are you stretching or rolling things out? Maybe you should do a couple days of lots of ibuprofen to knock down the inflammation, and see if things are better with the new shoes. It may take a couple weeks on new shoes for the flared-up troublespots to go away. I ran too long on shoes, and my shin and hip pointer were so sore, but a couple weeks after switching shoes everything magically resolved. Lesson learned, I guess.

I religiously stretch after runs but I've only tried rolling it a couple times. How long should I be rolling? I've also done ice buckets a couple times and that seemed to help. Am just now starting an ibuprofen regimen and I'm thinking about not doing my Saturday 15.5 mile run to see if laying off for a bit helps. Maybe the old shoes started the injury and I just need to give it time. Weird - never had this before.
